Infrared heating vs panel heaters?
Infrared panels and conventional panel heaters both use direct electricity, so their cost per kWh is broadly the same. Infrared heats surfaces and people directly, while a panel heater mainly warms air by convection. Choose based on room use, insulation, controls and the type of comfort you want — not an efficiency claim.

Our honest verdict
Neither technology is inherently cheaper per unit of electricity. Infrared is worth considering when direct radiant warmth, zoning or a slim ceiling-mounted format solves a real room problem; a conventional panel heater may be the simpler choice for a well-insulated room.
